Oxygen and nitrogen generators are industrial equipment used to separate and extract oxygen and nitrogen from the air. The main components of air are nitrogen (about 78%) and oxygen (about 21%). Oxygen and nitrogen generators use the different physical or chemical properties of these components to separate them through a series of technical means to provide higher purity oxygen and nitrogen.
- Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Technology: Pressure swing adsorption technology uses the different adsorption capacities of different gases on molecular sieves (such as zeolites) to separate oxygen and nitrogen through periodic pressurization and decompression. Under high pressure, the molecular sieve preferentially adsorbs nitrogen, while oxygen passes through. When the pressure is reduced, the adsorbed nitrogen is released and enters the next adsorption cycle again.
- Membrane separation technology: Membrane separation technology uses the different speeds of different gases passing through selective permeable membranes to achieve separation. When oxygen and nitrogen pass through the membrane, the oxygen permeation rate is faster than nitrogen, thus achieving the separation effect. This method is suitable for the production of medium-purity oxygen and nitrogen.
- Cryogenic separation (condensation method): Cryogenic separation method liquefies and separates the different components in the air by cooling the air to extremely low temperatures. Oxygen and nitrogen have different boiling points, and by gradually heating the liquefied air, pure oxygen and pure nitrogen can be extracted separately. This method is usually used for large-scale, high-purity gas production.
Main features:
- Efficient separation: It can quickly and effectively extract oxygen and nitrogen from the air.
- High degree of automation: The equipment usually has a highly automated control system and is easy to operate.
- Energy saving and environmental protection: Compared with traditional methods, it is more energy-saving and reduces the impact on the environment.
- Strong adaptability: It can adjust the gas production and purity according to demand to adapt to different application scenarios.
